National Parks in Cameroon

In Cameroon, there is an extension of almost 50,000 km² of protected territory, representing approximately 10.6% of the total country’s area. Additionally, there is a marine surface of 502 km², which accounts for 3.41% of territorial waters, reaching about 14,700 km². In total, the National Parks of Cameroon amount to 26, of which 6 are wildlife sanctuaries and 5 are wildlife reserves, along with 3 biosphere reserves, 2 sites recognized as World Heritage, and 7 Ramsar sites dedicated to bird protection.
